The Best Time to Visit Zanzibar
As an archipelago of tropical African Islands just off the Indian Ocean coast of East Africa, Zanzibar is typically humid and offers a warm equatorial climate – weather that is inviting and compliments the stunning surroundings. For most of the year, holidays of sunshine and cloudless skies can be enjoyed in Zanzibar with the exception of a few rainy months in-between. When guests determine the best time for a holiday, it would depend of the activities and interests of the individual, as well as the weather and climate.
The best time to visit Zanzibar for a tropical island holiday of leisure and days spent exploring beaches and engaging in outdoor adventures would be in the long, dry season where rainfall is unusual and sunny weather is the norm - this would be between the milder and more comfortable months of June and October, although the Months between December and through to March are also good, with cloudless skies and higher temperatures and also lovely clear evenings that are romantic and perfect for stargazing.
For scuba-diving around the stunning coastal areas of Zanzibar, the months of February/March and also July/August are considered best. It is not recommended that guests visit during the two rainy seasons, with are from mid March to late May, and then again in November.
