Maldives Beaches
While the beaches in Maldives are a combination of outstretched palm trees, powder white sandy beaches, beautiful and bright blue oceans with warm water as well as lagoons and reefs, each island differs from the next and promises something special. Fulhadhoo Beach
The beautiful and unique island of Fulhadhoo is one of the Baa Atoll's most exquisite and it is not hard to see why. Situated in the heart of the Indian Ocean, this amazing paradise displays a white sandy beach and is quieter than many of the Maldives beaches. The island is long and not very wide, which allows for a wonderful sea breeze to blow across its stunning expanse, meaning that even the hottest days can be refreshing and comfortable. The natural surroundings comprise of palm trees and lush vegetation, set off beautifully by the shimmering ocean waters and a lagoon. The island and beach of Falhadhoo is considered a great choice for quiet and relaxing ocean escapes - the island itself is home to only about 250 locals and isn't as frequented by tourists. Families with small children can enjoy the lagoons tiny natural pool which is shallow and warm, perfect for kids of all ages. In addition to Fulhadhoo beach being great for swimming, it is also fantastic for those who love snorkelling - abundant in coral reef, there are hundreds of equatorial fish swimming in this oceanfront, you could even come across friendly dolphins a bit further out to complete a truly amazing experience.
Amilla Fushi
Another beautiful island found in the Baa Atoll, Amilla Fushi boasts a pristine and picturesque white shoreline and crystal clear ocean waters that seem to go on forever. This lovely beach looks out to the endless ocean from its stylish shoreline and is guaranteed to keep visitors in constant awe. The gorgeous and top class Amilla Fushi Resort and a selection of other alluring resorts which often welcome famous celebrity guests are located on this gorgeous island; these resorts are the main attraction here apart from the beaches and the exquisite natural beauty. This stunning island has green vegetation and is located in the popular UNESCO Biosphere reserve of Baa Atoll.
Dhigurah
One of the Maldives more affordable island visits, the island of Dhigurah is located in the South Ari and has earned is place on top as one of the very best islands in the country, remaining popular but not overcrowded which only adds to its appeal. Visitors and guests can hardly begin to imagine the beauty of this island, and the undeniable experience of visiting this beachfront. A visit to the beach of Dhigurah will be one of many possibilities and evident naturally stunning surroundings, where some popular water activities include snorkelling on the house reef and the thrilling experience of diving with whale sharks. Nalaguraidhoo Beach
The truly spectacular Nalaguraidhoo Beach, which exists in the South Ari Atoll, is one of the Maldives most popular and attractive beaches, regularly frequented by tourists and continuing to enchant a number of guests throughout the year. The shimmering white sands and alluring azure blue ocean waters create a sensation of pure bliss and tranquillity, perfect for a day spent making amazing memories with loved ones. The Nalaguraidhoo beach is often referred to as 'Sun Island' or even 'Flower of the Indies'. The island also displays an amazing lagoon that is perfect for canoeing or snorkelling. Alimatha Island
Situated in the Vaavu Atoll on the Eastern edge of the Maldives, you will find the beautiful Alimatha Island and beach, a very popular diving location which is so stunning that it is within the government-sanctioned list of protected dive sites. Alimatha's reef is the southern edge of Myaru Kandu, which in the Maldivian language means 'Shark Channel'. Bikini Beach
The name says it all, Bikini Beach, which is found on the northern tip of Maafushi Island, allows tourists to enjoy their vacation with the comfort of being able to wear bikinis, or revealing swimsuits - men can go topless and everyone can work on their holiday tan without breaking rules or behaving offensively. This beach is closed off and private, and arguably one of the Maldives most stunning beachfronts where the inviting cyan-blue ocean waters and perfect white beach sand present guests with a tropical haven. Maafushi is one of the larger islands of the Maldives, as well as one of the most popular. There are a few lovely dining spots right on the beachfront, allowing for tourists and guests to enjoy some local flavours as the sunset serenades and creates breathtaking sights.
